Preparation of Master Plan for Modernization of Bangladesh National Zoo, Dhaka and Rangpur Recreation Garden/Zoo under Department of Livestock, Bangladesh
The assignment involves preparation of a world class Master Plan including detailed design and cost-estimates for upgrading the Bangladesh National Zoo, Dhaka and Rangpur Recreational Garden & Zoo for providing ample scope and physical facilities towards education, research, conservation and recreation programs the modernization task has been set-forth to ensure improved facilities concerning landscape elements, captive environment, infrastructural facilities, game facilities and above all to make animal exhibits and shows more attractive to the visitors. Besides, the assignment includes strengthening program to ensure animal welfare for wild animals and birds in captivity. In brief the objectives of this assignment are - conduct baseline, digital and geographical survey, sectoral study and seminars, workshops etc. and develop sectoral strategy and plans for completing the Master Plan; translate output of upper stage of planning in more specific terms.; provide description of modern structure, facilities, arrangement, beautification and formulation of policies for smooth functioning of the modern zoos and the recreational gardens.
