Construction Supervision Consulting Services for the Rehabilitation of the National Highway from Link Road (Cox’s Bazar) to Teknaf via Unchiprang under “Emergency Assistance Project (ADB Grant No. 0582-BAN)
The length of Road Alignment from Cox’s Bazar to Teknaf (N1) under the Project is 80.76 km. The proposed road starts from the intersection at Link Road (Cox’s Bazar) at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila (ch: 381+494) and ended at Ukhiya Bazar (ch: 406+494) under Ukhiya Upazila. It includes culverts & associated work related to the widening of the road on both sides included Road Pavement, Slope & Embankment Protection, Culvert & Drainage structures, Rigid Pavement in Bazar areas and Miscellaneous work items viz sign signal, guide post, road marking etc. The existing road is of 02 lane & has 5.50 m carriageway. It has 0.90 m brick made road shoulder on both sides. The improved road will be of 7.30m in total with black topping & concreting.
The consultant (i) reviewed the detailed design for the project road already prepared by the RHD (ii) provide procurement supports, (iii) provided construction supervision to civil works, and (iv) provided other technical support including traffic management and road safety plan upon. In addition to the above services, the consultant undertaken maintenance quality checks for project road with regard to the technical, contractual and financial aspects of the project implementation, such as - any Engineering Report as required, Measurement Record and Certification, Report on test result and other related matters, Report on safety measure/issues, Progress status of project implementation, financial records, and changes to the Contract Plan.
